Serving primarily as a creative outlet, Feeling Human Feelings™ acts as a little digital journal.

It’s really just me. A human being feeling human feelings. And, sharing some things I’ve learned along the way.

Let’s get personal.

come a little closer ⌓

Autumn of 2020 marks two years in counseling and two years on medication to manage major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.

Prior, I convinced myself that because my symptoms did not manifest in the same way as family or friends who I’d seen struggle with mental illness, I couldn’t have the same diagnoses. Right?

By the time I realized I needed help, I manifested with a bit of dissociation, severe anxiety attacks, and a slew general major depressive symptoms.

The process of working towards healing has opened my eyes to how important the conversation around mental health truly is.

Writing and journaling have been integral in being able to move through emotions that I’d otherwise avoid.

This is how Feeling Human Feelings™ was born. A safe, open and vulnerable place to share thoughts, stories, things I’ve learned in therapy, poems, and blog posts about love, life, psychology and our connected human experience.

If you’re here right now - pause - take a deep breath - and tell yourself something kind. Maybe give yourself a hug.

Let’s be social, friends!
